One or two sentences that set up the argument: the claim, and why it is worth making now.

An opinion piece is shorter than an essay and carries one argument. The first paragraph states the claim plainly, so a reader who stops here still knows where the piece stands.
The case
The middle carries the evidence: what is known, what is contested, and which of the two the argument leans on. A link inside the text looks like this: the publications section.
A sentence worth setting apart from the rest of the argument.
The last paragraph says what would have to change, and who would have to change it. When the piece is finished, update the title and the description at the top of this file, and edit the matching card in index.html.
